After documenting countless weddings over the last 12+ years all around Ontario, I have realized that some of my absolute favourites just so happen to be in the area that I was born and raised. Overlooking the beauty of Hockley Valley, Adamo Estate is guaranteed to make one beautiful backdrop for your wedding. A perfect blend of natural beauty & modern design. The vineyard that is situated right beside the ceremony location is a perfect spot for family or couples portraits. Also can’t forget to mention, some of the best sunsets I have ever photographed overlooking the valley itself.

2. The Millcroft Inn - Alton Ontario
Once the Alton Knitting Mill, there is no question that The Millcroft Inn has a tonne of character. From the beautiful architecture & the natural flowing waterfall, to the beautiful rooms you and your guests can get ready in or stay the night in after partying it up on the dance floor.
3. Alton Mill Arts Centre - Alton Ontario
Located right beside the grounds of The Millcroft Inn, the Alton Mill Arts Centre is another unique venue with a lot of history and charm. The Mill actually used to manufacture rubber products, including balloons for Disney, rubber gloves and condoms for Canadian servicemen during the Second World War. Some of this history can be read about and seen in their Millrace room in the basement, which is one of the coziest spots for a wedding reception I have ever seen.

Looking to tie the knot and then sleep under the stars in a cute off the grid cabin? You have to check out On The 9. Sitting just a couple minutes east of Orangeville, the property at On The 9 has a great amount of country charm for your ceremony.

5. Hockley Valley Resort - Hockley Valley Ontario
Hockley Valley Resort has been hosting weddings the longest compared to all the others on this list and with good reason. Even my own parents had their wedding reception here! With its unique honeymoon suites to get ready in, as well as stay the night after the night is done. Its Montclair patio or wedding garden for your ceremony, Hockley Valley is definitely a go-to spot. Not to mention, it’s notoriously challenging golf course that you can enjoy leading up to, or after your special day. Seriously check it out!

6. Greystones Restaurant & Lounge - Orangeville Ontario
One of my favourite spots to visit for a night out with my wife or friends, Greystones has been a top tier spot for some exquisite food and drinks for a long time. After recently undergoing a beautiful facelift, I immediately knew that this would be a great location for an intimate wedding. Plus you can take some beautiful photos around sunset walking up the main strip of Broadway, showcasing all of Orangeville’s charm. If you are looking for something a little modern with some historic cozy feel, this is it!

7. Cambium Farms - Caledon Ontario
Who doesn’t love a good barn wedding? Not too many do it quite like Cambium Farms. Located in Caledon, this venue has everything you need for your wedding day. A beautiful farm house to get suited up and enjoy a few pre-wedding mimosas. A picture perfect outdoor location for your ceremony. Or, if the weather isn’t the greatest or you are looking for a charming indoor location, their barn or the newly renovated Byre are amazing spots for ceremonies, cocktail hours, or receptions.

Another amazing spot known for its fantastic restaurant. Villa Caledon Inn has one of my favourite ceremony locations on this list. Their garden with some amazing flowers and willow trees are the perfect backdrop for your wedding day photos. Not to mention, some of the best food I have ever had at a wedding venue.

9. Mrs. Mitchell’s Restaurant - Violet Hill Ontario
I am coming to realize that the theme of this blog post is cozy and great food. Mrs Mitchell’s is just that. Another fine dining restaurant that is a great spot for your intimate wedding with the ones you love most. Your wedding will make your guests feel as if they are out for a dinner date under candlelight.
