Who I am…

“IT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO CLICK WITH PEOPLE THAN TO CLICK A SHUTTER”

— alfred eisenstaedt

Hi, I’m Brendan.
A music loving, lake jumping, 30 something year old born & raised in a small town of Orangeville Ontario Canada. I am married to my high school sweetheart and together we have two wonderful kiddos. You can usually find us exploring our neighbourhood/ local parks, having lunch on the patio at our local pub, attending Blue Jays games or all sprawled out on the couch watching movies.

Music is a big part of my life and is what made me who I am today. For many years I only inspired to be a musician. I eventually started bringing my camera to shows and got great experience shooting in low light, taking portraits of my friends and other musicians. My style while capturing weddings is heavily influenced by how I captured these shows—using candid, spontaneous moments, playing with shadows, and focusing on the energy of the scene. The raw, emotional intensity that live music creates is something I try to channel in my wedding photography, whether it's the laughter shared between the couple, the tears during the vows, or the excitement on the dance floor. Every wedding has its own rhythm, and I aim to document that in a way that feels as alive and real as the music that first inspired me.

I shot my first wedding in 2012 and after shooting a few more weddings of people that I knew, my work started capturing the attention of people who I have never met. It meant the world to me that people saw and liked my photos and wanted me to be responsible for taking theirs. Fast forward to today, I have documented the stories of so many people and am so thankful to be able to call this passion of mine a career.

Feel like we are a good match? Let’s chat over some coffee or wine and get this amazing wedding of yours dreamed up.
